In Term 1, We Challenged You to Take The Chance and Give Back!
Much appreciation to those students who participated.
On Sunday, 02 February, at 9am, we set off from PRIDE ISM – the boys in the bus with Mr Dighton and the girls in the bus with Tr Rene’ and Ms Kayla.
Prior to heading off to the orphanage, Tr Rene’ ensured that we were well-arranged into activities that would stimulate and engage the children at the home.
When we arrived at the home, the children were still eating breakfast, so we busied ourselves while waiting for them to finish up.
The accompanying pictures depict the activities that we carried out.
Stacking Cups, Jenga, Colouring-In, Physics Lessons, Guitar Playing, Origami, Football and Card Games.
The activities that the children enjoyed most were without a doubt Football and Card Games.
Thank you to all the parents who have allowed their children to participate in this worthy effort.
Community Service at Pride ISM
Community service is an increasingly important part of the education of an International student. It is a way of helping the students becoming aware of their social requirements as a citizen of the world and to show empathy to others. It is there, to help others less fortunate as themselves. It is to make our students better people and lastly it is very important for college or university applications. Here at Pride we always take an active part in helping the local community in many ways. This includes making donations to local temples, aiding the children in their care and many other places that have benefitted from our donations. In 2019 we are supporting many other people in the community and below are just some of the ways and projects we are running..
